On April 9, ministry representatives held talks with the company's president, Katsunori Sugiura, during which they explored opportunities for establishing a strategic partnership.
Katsunori Sugiura expressed interest in setting up a pharmaceutical plant in Uzbekistan. The facility is expected not only to meet domestic demand but also to export products to other countries.
The meeting also addressed the potential application of Sugi Holdings’ experience in managing large-scale pharmacy networks and implementing preventive healthcare programs. Another topic discussed was the supply of medical goods from Japan.
The parties agreed to continue working together on the implementation of the discussed projects. MIIT will assign a dedicated project manager to the company.
