The Turkish Süper Lig club officially announced the signing of the 21-year-old Uzbek player, welcoming him to the team with a statement:
“Our club has signed a five-year contract with Uzbekistan national team player Abbosbek Fayzullaev. We welcome Fayzullaev to our family and wish him great success in our claret-colored kit.”
According to earlier media reports, Istanbul Başakşehir paid €7.5 million to CSKA Moscow for the attacking midfielder, making it the most expensive transfer in the club’s history.
Fayzullaev began his professional career in 2021 with Pakhtakor Tashkent. In 2023, he transferred to CSKA Moscow for €500,000. Over two seasons with the Russian club, he played 72 matches across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists. In the most recent season, he helped CSKA win both the Russian Cup and Super Cup.
Previously, Istanbul Başakşehir had also signed Uzbekistan international striker Eldor Shomurodov on loan from AS Roma, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
