Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan formalize cooperation with multiple bilateral agreements
Following today’s negotiations held in Baku, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev adopted the Decision of the second session of the Supreme Interstate Council.

According to the presidential press service, a series of bilateral documents were exchanged in the presence of both leaders. These include:
– A "Roadmap" for the implementation of the Treaty on Allied Relations for 2025–2029;
– An intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in environmental protection;
– An intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in science, vocational, and higher education;
– An industrial cooperation program for 2025–2026;
– A program to increase trade turnover to $1 billion by 2030;
– A practical action plan for further cooperation in agriculture and food security for 2025–2027;
– An action plan for implementing cooperation in social protection for 2025–2027;
– A protocol on cooperation in shipping and shipbuilding;
– Agreements establishing sister city relationships between Tashkent Region and the city of Sumgait, as well as between the cities of Navoi and Qabala.
