State Statistics Committee: Average monthly salary in Tashkent is 2,57 million soums

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-December 2018, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in Uzbekistan amounted to 1,822,200 soums (including wage supplements, remunerations, incentive payments, compensation payments and overtime payments, as well as income tax, social insurance and trade union fund contributions withheld from individuals).
In comparison to the same period in 2017, the average wage increased by 25,0%.
The largest increase in wages was observed in the IT sector – 33,8%, industry – 30,6%, banking, insurance, leasing and credit-intermediary activities – 29,9%, construction – 29,2%.
It should be noted that the highest level of wages is traditionally observed in Tashkent – the average monthly salary was 2,570,400 soums. In the second place was Navoi region – 2,371,000 soums. The top three was closed by the Tashkent region – 2,063,100 soums.
The lowest average wages are observed in Samarkand (1,431,300 soums) and Namangan regions (1,434,500 soums) respectively.
