Uzbekistan and Afghanistan strengthen dialogue on law enforcement and stability
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Afghanistan’s acting Minister of Interior, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, on Thursday to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in security and law enforcement. The meeting was announced by Saidov on his official Telegram channel.

According to the minister, the discussions focused on strengthening ties in the areas of security, policing, and promoting regional stability.
“We acknowledged the efforts of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior in significantly improving the country’s security situation and combating drug production,” Saidov noted.
The Uzbek delegation also held talks with Afghanistan’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to regional connectivity, joint water resource management, economic cooperation, support in education, and the restoration of cultural heritage.
