AI-80 gasoline price hits historic high on the Commodity Exchange

On Monday, July 14, during trading sessions on the Commodity Exchange, the average price of AI-80 gasoline surged to 10,274,000 UZS per ton — setting a new record.

Compared to the previous trading day, the average price increased by 282,000 UZS. The total volume sold amounted to 1,650 tons.

The previous record was set during the July 10 session, when the same volume of 1,650 tons of AI-80 gasoline was sold at an average price of 10,195,000 UZS per ton.

On July 11, an unusually large volume — 11,730 tons — of AI-80 gasoline was sold on the exchange. The average price that day dropped by 203,000 UZS, settling at 9,992,000 UZS per ton.

The July 14 average price of 10,274,000 UZS represents a 15% increase compared to a year ago and a 47% rise compared to two years ago.

These figures indicate that the price of AI-80 gasoline in Uzbekistan is rising at a rate significantly higher than the official inflation rate.
