According to the report, eight individuals were identified as part of a group that facilitated the transport of 59 passenger vehicles – including brands such as BYD, Volkswagen, Kaiyi X3, Honda, Geometry, and FAW ID4 – across the border into Tajikistan. For each car smuggled, they received a payment ranging from $100 to $200.
These vehicles were then illegally sold within the territory of Tajikistan, bypassing legal customs and registration procedures.
In connection with this case, criminal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
