Digital pension reform: Citizens will soon be able to estimate their pension online

A presidential decree titled “On Measures for the Introduction of Modern Services by the Treasury Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Off-Budget Pension Fund” has been adopted, according to the Ministry of Justice.

Under the decree, the main goals and directions for modernizing pension and treasury services have been defined. Key initiatives include:

  • Establishing compact service offices across the regions by digitizing and automating the treasury and pension systems;
  • Transitioning all services provided to citizens into fully electronic and proactive formats.

According to the decree, a Digital Treasury System will be implemented starting July 1, 2026, through the automation of treasury processes. From December 1, 2026, the following pension-related developments will be introduced:

  • A new online service called “My Pension”, which will allow citizens to estimate their future pension amounts in advance based on electronic records of their employment history and salary data;
  • All pension-related services will be transitioned into fully proactive, electronic, and interactive formats.

Pension system and amounts in Uzbekistan

It was recently reported that the number of pensioners registered with the Pension Fund has reached 4.2 million. Starting July 1, 2025, pensions and social benefits in Uzbekistan will increase by 10%.

The appendix to the presidential decree outlines the new pension and benefit amounts payable to citizens. Key figures include:

  • Minimum disability pension for individuals with incomplete work history: 1,012,000 UZS per month;
  • Disability allowance for persons unable to work and for individuals with childhood disabilities: 1,012,000 UZS per month;
  • Minimum pension for individuals disabled due to World War II, war participants, former underage prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, and individuals who worked during the siege of Leningrad (including supplementary payments): 4,462,000 UZS per month;
  • Age-based pensions for individuals currently receiving between 918,000 and 1,012,000 UZS: set at 1,012,000 UZS per month;
  • Allowance for elderly citizens lacking sufficient work history: 820,000 UZS per month;
  • Minimum age-based pension with additional payments for those with incomplete work history: 820,000 UZS per month;
  • Caregiver allowance for legal guardians of children with disabilities under the age of 18: 820,000 UZS per month;
  • Survivor benefit for one disabled family member of a deceased breadwinner: 820,000 UZS per month, with 270,000 UZS added for each additional eligible family member.

According to the decree:

  • The minimum age-based pension will be 918,000 UZS per month;
  • The minimum disability pension will be 1,012,000 UZS per month;
  • From July 1, 2025, the base amount used to calculate pensions will be set at 471,000 UZS per month.
