It was previously reported that Volkswagen and Alyans Auto — a company under Uzavtosanoat — signed an agreement on cooperation in the production and sale of vehicles.

Uzavtosanoat’s press service confirmed to Kun.uz that production is expected to resume in early 2026.

“The project is being implemented in phases. The first stage includes SKD assembly, while the second stage involves a transition to CKD production with deeper localization. This process entails technical and economic preparations, as well as the selection of the most suitable models for production in Uzbekistan,” the company’s statement reads.

As for which specific Volkswagen models are planned to be sold, no definitive information has been provided yet. Uzavtosanoat's press service stated that further details will be shared at a later stage.
