The complex spans 25 hectares of what was previously low-yield, saline land in the city of Khiva. It is situated near Govuk Lake, around which green areas are being developed. The center is expected to accommodate up to 3 million visitors annually.

“Arda Khiva” features 20 hotels with a total capacity of 1,000 guests. The site also includes a water park, a 3,000-seat amphitheater, a musical fountain, 11 artisan workshops, an oriental bazaar, and a museum of ancient Urgench.

Visitors can enjoy five cinemas and concert halls, nine restaurants, a jewelry center, and a shopping area with 70 retail stores. There are two water parks, a jet ski zone, and gondola rides along a two-kilometer stretch of canal.

The complex's architecture reflects the style of Khiva's historic old town, Ichan-Kala, blending “historical elements with modern design.” All facilities are powered by a unified heating and cooling system, and electricity is supplied via solar panels.

At the opening ceremony, President Mirziyoyev stated that the launch of the complex is expected to bring in an additional 1 million tourists annually, generate 1.2 trillion UZS in tourism services, and create 2,000 jobs. He noted that “Arda Khiva” could become “the second calling card” of the Khorezm region.

The president also announced a new project — the “Star of the Desert” complex — which will cover 2,400 hectares of land to be transferred from Khiva District to the city of Khiva. Construction is set to begin this year.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will personally oversee the development of the new complex, which will include hotels, entertainment centers, gastronomic and shopping streets, museums, eco-houses, and a summer camp.
