Russia’s “Transport of the Future” company plans to launch a facility in Uzbekistan for the production of civilian drones by the end of 2025. The announcement was made by the company’s CEO, Yuri Kozarenko, during the plenary session of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia.
“We have analyzed the market and can confidently say that today it is economically feasible and efficient to integrate tens of thousands of drones into the market, which ensures greater profitability. The joint venture being built here in the Republic of Uzbekistan is expected to be operational by the end of this year, with projected output exceeding $100 million. At the initial stage, the localization level of production in Uzbekistan will be around 50%. This project represents a separate block for the development, production, and application of drones,” Kozarenko stated.
According to him, to enable the safe and efficient use of drones, several measures must be coordinated with Rosaviatsiya (Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency) and the Civil Aviation Agency under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport (UzAviation).
“This involves creating the necessary infrastructure to ensure that drone operations are safe and cost-effective. This is a responsibility we are undertaking here in the republic, in cooperation with our local partners,” he added.
“Transport of the Future” is offering Uzbekistan the opportunity to jointly implement projects in which “the Russian Federation becomes not only a provider of technology but also a recipient and consumer of the final products,” said Kozarenko.
