The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the circulating reports claiming that Uzbek citizens have been banned from entering the UAE.

According to the statement, the rumors spreading on social media about such a ban are baseless and fake.

"The existing visa-free regime between Uzbekistan and the UAE remains in force. Official sources have not provided any information about the introduction of such measures," the statement said.

The MFA representative also urged citizens to trust only official and verified sources.

It should be recalled that on April 20, videos surfaced showing a knife fight involving dozens of Uzbek citizens in Dubai. The UAE authorities announced that 15 Uzbek citizens were detained in connection with the incident.

Following this event, MFA spokesperson Ahror Burkhanov warned that the growing number of legal violations committed by Uzbek citizens abroad could potentially impact the visa-free regime. "We call on Uzbek citizens to refrain from actions abroad that tarnish the reputation of our compatriots," he wrote.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism informed Kun.uz that the e-visa application service for more than ten countries — including Uzbekistan and Tajikistan — had been temporarily suspended. This measure is believed to have been taken to prevent unauthorized Hajj attempts by travelers visiting the Kingdom for tourism or Umrah purposes.
