Earlier, it was announced that riders of mopeds and scooters would be required to obtain a category A driver's license by March 1, 2025. From that date, operating such vehicles without a license was expected to be prohibited.
However, according to a government resolution, the implementation of this requirement has been postponed by six months — until October 1 of this year.
The regulation applies to mopeds and scooters already in use, with engine displacements ranging from 25 cm³ to 50 cm³, electric motor power between 0.25 kW and 4 kW, and design speeds ranging from 25 km/h to 50 km/h.
