Traffic police in Namangan seize 360 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices transported illegally
At a traffic checkpoint in the Kamchik Pass, police officers discovered 360 iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones being transported without proper documentation. The total market value of the seized devices exceeds $430,000.

On April 11, 2025, at approximately 05:30 a.m., officers of the Kamchik Pass Traffic Patrol Unit stopped a Lacetti vehicle traveling on the Valley-Tashkent route at the Namangan traffic checkpoint. According to the information service of the Traffic Safety Department (TSD), an inspection revealed that the vehicle’s cabin and trunk contained a total of 360 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices, none of which were accompanied by the required documentation.
“In accordance with established procedures, official records have been filed, and both the devices and the driver, identified as A.M., have been handed over to the Pop District Department of the Economic Crimes Investigation Division under the Prosecutor General’s Office for further investigation,” the TSD report stated.
For reference, the base model of the iPhone 16 Pro Max currently starts at $1,200. The total market value of the seized smartphones is estimated to exceed $430,000.
