He emphasized that ensuring social protection and access to quality services based on international standards and norms is more relevant today than ever before.

According to the president, Uzbekistan has made the comprehensive protection of its population a top policy priority, implementing the national program titled “From Poverty to Prosperity.”

“In the past eight years, over 7 million people in our country have been lifted out of poverty. The poverty rate has dropped from 35% to 8.9%. This year, we aim to reduce it further to 6%,” said Mirziyoyev.

He also extended an invitation to parliamentary representatives to actively participate in an international conference on poverty reduction, which will be hosted by Uzbekistan this September.
