In the future, there are also plans to resume international flights from Andijan Airport.
The announcement states that the first phase of the airport's reconstruction has been completed. As part of this phase, significant upgrades have been made to the aerodrome complex, including the construction of a new 4E-category runway (3,300 meters long and 60 meters wide), a taxiway, and a parking apron with three aircraft stands. However, the terminal building remains unchanged, with its renovation planned for the second phase of reconstruction.
It is worth noting that Andijan Airport had suspended operations on April 1, 2023, due to the planned reconstruction of its aerodrome complex.
