Shavkat Mirziyoyev departs for France on a state visit
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for France on March 11 for an official state visit, according to the presidential press service.

During the visit, scheduled from March 11 to 13, high-level negotiations and events will take place in Paris, along with a series of meetings with representatives of France’s official and business circles. The agenda of the upcoming discussions includes strengthening and further developing the multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and France.
A key focus will be on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and financial sectors, as well as advancing joint projects with France’s leading companies and enterprises. At the conclusion of the summit, a package of intergovernmental and interagency agreements is expected to be signed.
Additionally, the president will meet with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay to discuss preparations for the organization’s 43rd General Conference and its practical arrangements for being held in Samarkand in the autumn of 2025.
According to Le Figaro, energy issues will take center stage during the Uzbek president’s visit to France.
This marks Mirziyoyev’s third visit to France, following trips in 2018 and 2022. French President Emmanuel Macron paid an official visit to Uzbekistan in 2023.
