Anti-Corruption Agency prevents unlawful state tenders totaling 3.1 billion UZS
The Anti-Corruption Agency has reported that procurement commission protocols determining the winners of public tenders were annulled based on its recommendations, effectively preventing illegal government procurements.
The agency found that in August and September, violations of procurement laws were committed by state customers during 11 public procurements worth a total of 3.1 billion UZS.
Conflicts of interest were identified in the following public procurements:
• 673 million UZS by the Narpay District Medical Association;
• 343 million UZS by the Road Maintenance Department of Shumanay District;
• 215 million UZS by the Department of Preschool and School Education of Kattakurgan District;
• 193 million UZS by the Administration of Altynsay District;
• 115 million UZS by Vocational School No. 2 of Kumkurgan District;
• 56 million UZS by the Academic Lyceum under Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute.
Additionally, individuals affiliated with each other were allowed to participate in a procurement worth 1.5 billion UZS, organized by the Specialized Road Enterprise "Kamchikavtoyul."
As a result of the agency's intervention, the procurement commission protocols were annulled, and the unlawful organization of these public procurements was prevented.
The documents collected during the investigation and analysis have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
