New managers appointed to Uzenergosotish JSC
Jakhongir Obidjonov was appointed chairman of the board of Uzenergosotish JSC, and Shokhrukh Karabayev was appointed acting first deputy chairman of the board, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported.

Jakhongir Obidjonov was born in 1976 in Tashkent. In 1998, he graduated from the Tashkent State Economic University, and in 2006 – from the Academy of State and Public Construction under the President.
From 2020 to 2022, he worked as First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Regional Electric Networks JSC.
Shokhrukh Karabayev, appointed acting first deputy chairman of the board of Uzenergosotish JSC, previously worked as deputy director of the Project Office for Reforming the Electric Power Industry under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Uzenergosotish company was created by the presidential decree “On measures to implement the next stage of the energy sector reform” dated September 28 last year.
From July 1, 2024, the functions of centralized purchase and sale of electricity will be performed in full by Uzenergosotish, and the operation of main power grids – by National Electric Grids.
