Uzbekistan's consumer sector faces 10.6% annual inflation in May
The annual growth rate of prices in the consumer sector has reached 10.6 percent.

In May 2024, prices for goods and services in the consumer sector saw an average increase of 2.8 percent.
According to the Statistics Agency, the annual increase (compared to May 2023) in prices within the consumer sector reached 10.6 percent.
In May of 2024, within the composition of the consumer price index, prices for food products decreased by an average of 2.0 percent, and non-food goods by 0.3 percent, while the prices for paid services to the population saw an average increase of 15.2 percent.
More than 10,000 trade points and service institutions were surveyed to compile these calculations, recording prices for over 120,000 items.
Prices for 420 types of food and non-food products and 90 types of services were monitored.
