Uzbekistan appoints new Consul General in St. Petersburg
This position was filled by a former counselor at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Ukraine.

The new Consul General of Uzbekistan Abdurakhmon Makhmudov arrived in St. Petersburg.
Prior to his appointment in 2019-2023, he worked as first secretary and then counselor at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine.
Abdurakhmon Makhmudov replaced Alisher Boboyev, who headed the Consulate General in St. Petersburg in 2019-2024.
The consular district of the Consulate General includes the Northwestern District of Russia. These are 11 subjects of the RF: the Republic of Karelia, the Komi Republic, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov Oblasts, the federal city of St. Petersburg and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
