"We stand together with Palestinian people" – Shavkat Mirziyoyev speaks about Middle East crisis
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting regarding the implementation of projects in the field of hydropower and the preparation of the energy system for the autumn-winter season.

Before moving on to the agenda, the president spoke about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which is causing great concern throughout the world.
"The ongoing armed conflict between Israel and Hamas is deepening the humanitarian crisis, leading to casualties among the peaceful, innocent population. Children and women are dying, people are losing their shelter, being forced to leave their homes.
We express our sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of all the victims of Palestine and Israel.
We are allocating $1,500,000 to the United Nations Middle East Agency to provide valuable humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip.
We strongly express our solidarity with the Palestinian people and support their right to establish their independent state in accordance with the previously adopted resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council," the president said.
It was noted that if the violence escalates, it will lead to a large-scale derailment of the international situation and the involvement of new forces in armed conflicts.
"All this can lead to unpredictable tragedies, which are not limited to the Middle East region but spread to distant countries as well. Therefore, we call on both sides to immediately compromise for humanitarian purposes, stop hostilities, and resolve the conflict peacefully.
The Central Asian region where we live has a unique experience of peaceful coexistence of representatives of different nationalities and confessions. Muslims, Christians, and Jews have been living side by side in friendship and harmony on this land for centuries.
I use today's opportunity to appeal to all our compatriots, first of all, to our youth, and call them not to fall for various false propaganda and not to commit illegal acts. It is necessary for all of us to preserve our peaceful life, mutual unity, and solidarity, which is our greatest strength and priceless wealth," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
