Samarkand to host an international triathlon tournament
On October 8-9, the international triathlon tournament “2022 Asian Triathlon Cup Samarkand” and the championship of Uzbekistan between amateurs and professionals will be held for the first time in the city of Samarkand.

Triathlon is a multisport race that includes three stages: swimming, cycling and running.
The Samarkand tournament is held according to the standard or Olympic system. Athletes will swim 1500 m, take part in a 40 km bicycle race and run 10 km.
70 athletes from 30 countries will participate in the international tournament. 160 athletes will participate in the championship of Uzbekistan.
Triathlon has been included in the program of the Olympic Games since 2000, and the Paralympic Games since 2016.
