Tashkent to host SCO tourism forum
On May 19-20, representatives of the tourism industries of the SCO member states will gather in Tashkent at the Hilton Tashkent City hotel.

On May 20, a tourism forum “A new stage of cooperation between the SCO member states: tourism and cultural heritage” will be held with the participation of academic and business circles, as well as representatives of the tourism industry of the organization's member states. The Forum participants will discuss topical issues of international tourism, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the expansion of scientific and technical cooperation in the field of tourism and cultural heritage.
At the meeting, the heads of tourism departments will consider joint initiatives to accelerate the resumption of tourist travel, new projects and programs that increase the role of tourism as a multiplier of economic growth.
The agenda of the upcoming meeting also includes the coordination of drafts of the Agreement on the development of cooperation in the field of tourism and the memorandum on cooperation in the field of museum business between the SCO member states.
