According to the MIA Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes, on April 7, 2022, a citizen appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In his statement, he said that three citizens offered him to purchase a land plot of 5 hectares on the territory of the Khodjikent mahalla in the Bostanlyk district. Allegedly, this site was allocated to LD-Tib-Mahsulot LLC in 2008 for the construction of a children’s sports and health camp. Despite the lack of ownership rights, these persons, having not completed the camp construction, transferred the land to the balance of Vista Green Technologies LLC in 2020. The lawbreakers offered to purchase this land to the applicant for $1 million and demanded $50,000 as a prepayment.
In the course of a joint operation carried out by officers of the MIA Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes, the Tashkent regional DIA and the PGO, all three “sellers” were detained in the Zangiata district, Tashkent region, while receiving from the applicant $50,000 as a prepayment for the land being sold plot.
The Tashkent Regional PGO Department initiated a criminal case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Currently, an investigation is underway. The detainees have been taken into custody.
