Tashkent district khokimiyat official detained for bribery
Tashkent law enforcement officers have detained a khokimiyat official who demanded a bribe of $352,000 for allocating a land plot in the capital.

According to the correspondents of “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel, he demanded a bribe of $352,000 from the entrepreneur, who was registered in the Navoi region.
In a joint operation conducted by the officers of the SSS and the Prosecutor General’s Office, the man was detained with physical evidence, while he was receiving $35,000 of the amount requested.
It should be reminded that recently, a former convict from the Buston district demanded from a certain person $160,000 for 1 hectare of land, promising to help through his acquaintances in the khokimiyat. He was detained when receiving $80,000.
