Uzbekistan and Russia discuss resumption of tourist exchange
The Russian side was informed in detail about the measures being taken in Uzbekistan to gradually soften the conditions for the resumption of international tourism to the republic.

Tourism organizations of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the possibilities of tourist exchange in the event of the resumption of flights, the press service of the State Tourism Committee reported.
Deputy Chairman of the State Tourism Committee Ulugbek Azamov and Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze discussed through videoconferencing the prospects for the resumption of tourist exchange between the two countries.
“Lomidze noted that Uzbekistan is considered in Russia as a year-round destination, arises great interest among Russian tourists, who are also waiting for the opening of regular flights with the republic,” the report reads.
The Russian side was informed in detail about the measures being taken in Uzbekistan to gradually soften the conditions for the resumption of international tourism to the republic. In particular, the industry has developed a system of sanitary and epidemiological safety for tourists – Uzbekistan: Safe Travel Guaranteed.
The meeting participants agreed to use the online dialogue on a regular basis for the implementation of new joint projects of Uzbek and Russian travel companies, the State Tourism Committee added.
It should be recalled that Uzbekistan Airways in September has already resumed regular flights to Belarus, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Negotiations on the resumption of regular flights with Russia continue.
