Joint session of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of Oliy Majlis kicks off in Tashkent

The joint session of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of Oliy Majlis has started in Tashkent. It is attended by 97 senators and 150 deputies.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is delivering a speech at the joint session, Kun.uz correspondent said.
The meeting will be chaired by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber Nurdinjon Ismailov.
In accordance with Article 98 of the Constitution, a candidate for the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan is nominated by a political party that receives the highest number of seats in the elections to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan nominated Abdullah Aripov for the post of Prime Minister.
