Uzbekistan’s all international airports and railway stations will offer passengers the use of a prayer room

All international airports and railway stations in Uzbekistan will offer passengers the use of a prayer room in its international arrivals area. This is envisaged in the presidential decree “On additional measures to accelerate the development of tourism in Uzbekistan”
The head of state instructed to create ablution spaces for use and other facilities for praying by June 1, 2019.
It should be noted that a 24-hour prayer room appeared at the International Airport named after Islam Karimov in Tashkent in November 2017.
Today in Uzbekistan, there are 16 religious denominations including Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Full Gospel, Adventist, and other Christian churches, as well as religious communities of Bukhara and European Jews, Baha’is, Krishnas, Buddhists, and others. Almost 95 percent of the population are Muslims.
